Ross University School of Medicine, located on the Caribbean island of Dominica in the West Indies, invites applications for a faculty post in the Introduction to Clinical Medicine (ICM) department. Our mission is to prepare highly dedicated students to become effective, successful physicians in the United States. Basic science coursework is taught in Dominica and students then complete their clinical studies in the United States. After passing all prerequisite examinations, Ross graduates are licensed to practice medicine in all 50 states of the U.S. Ross University School of Medicine is a division of DeVry, Inc (NYSE:DV)

The primary focus of the faculty is to teach, develop teaching materials, and improve curriculum. Thus, effective teachers are sought, particularly those individuals who are interested in improving medical education and who work well on a team. Research opportunities exist, primarily in the area of medical education.

This faculty position include teaching Introduction to Clinical Medicine and Physical Diagnosis, participating in academic programs including developing teaching programs within the framework of our Problem Based Learning Curriculum. Appointees will also participate in faculty meetings, work on assigned committees and be available to meet with individual students as appropriate. Faculty members agree to participate in additional academic responsibilities as requested and assign by the Department Chair and with concurrence by the Dean. Applicants from the United States must be either Board Eligible or Board Certified. If Board Eligible he/she must have completed training no more than 2 years prior. Applicants from the United Kingdom must have MRCP, MRCS or equivalent in other clinical specialty. All applicants must have an interest in relating clinical medicine and basic sciences.

Essential Responsibilities:
The course is composed of didactic lectures, weekly laboratory sessions, and is evaluated by means of written term and final examinations. Functions include:
